the hub – your community action centre needs you!

Volunteers are a valued part of the hub team.  We work with our volunteers to ensure they have a role they enjoy and we offer training, support and travel expenses to make volunteering accessible to everyone.

the hub
is a base for several organisations so volunteer opportunities are varied and interesting and you are sure to find something you would enjoy doing.
We work with you to agree what role you would like, how many hours you would like to commit and to start you off with an agreed volunteer plan which we will review with you periodically.

Volunteer roles and placements on offer include; admin, marketing, social media, , e-bulletin editor, research, community projects support; one to one supported computer drop-ins and many more.

Becoming a volunteer and taking on a regular volunteering role with us will:

  •       help you learn new skills
  • provide you with updates for your C.V
  • assist you with your study or course work
  • help you meet new people and make new friends
  • make a positive difference to the lives of others
  • help your local community
  • be fun!
A volunteering information leaflet is available at the download tab above. If you require information in an alternative format please contact us on 01387 269161.
